The purposes of the Filipino American National Historical Society are to:

Conduct Research and Studies

Gather, Promote, and Disseminate Published Works on Filipino American History

Provide a Repository for Research and Gathered Materials

Create Exhibits

Promote and Hold Forums and Public Programs

Sponsor Fundraising Events to Accomplish These Purposes

FANHS-HTX is here to promote understanding, education, enlightenment, appreciation, and enrichment through the identification, gathering, preservation, and dissemination of the history and culture of Filipino Americans in the United States.

FANHS-HTX was established in 2015, and represents the 32nd chapter of a national organization.

Land Acknowledgement

We would like to acknowledge the original inhabitants of the land on which we gather. The City of Houston and the Gulf Coast Region is within the traditional territories and unceded land of the Sana, Atakapa-Ishak, Akokisa, and Karankawa peoples. We also recognize the native peoples that share the southeast Texas region, including the Tonkawa and Coahuiltecan, and that what we build here today is connected to their histories.
